Offset: Estonian jewellery design

Paris Design Week 2017
Galerie Residences

In 2017, NID focused particularly on jewellery design as it has
emerged over the recent years as one of the most distinctive areas
in the Estonian design landscape. The selection was based first of all
on original and unexpected choice of material. “Offset” marked a
shift in the use of traditional materials in the jewellery art. For
example, the visitors had a chance to have a closer look at the dry
mushrooms’ mystical texture, titanium’s vivid structure, crystal
vases’ shining sides as well as squashed wire sponge’s rough
surface.

French Makkouk Disquare Club took care of festive moods by mixing parisian sounds with Estonian music. Our partners Öselbirch and Viru Õlu provided refreshing drinks for the exhibition visitors.
